Summary of Role:

Capula has a portfolio of systems contracts to be delivered within the Water Industry. With cumulative values of several £10M’s the contracts include very large SCADA/PLC/Telemetry & Instrumentation systems. Based upon world class products the contracts cover Requirements Definition, Design, Implementation, Testing, Installation and Commissioning.
Reporting to the Project Director, a vacancy has arisen for a Programme Manager who will have responsibility for delivering these significant contracts to cost, time and specification through the established project management team. This role will include travel to customer sites.

Role Description:

• Managing a number of contracts from inception through to delivery within demanding timescales
• Ensuring that all the Projects are delivered to timescale, specification, budget and customer satisfaction
• Full financial responsibility for a number of contracts with an overall value of several £10M’s including subcontracts for specialist works and supplies
• People-management responsibility for leading and motivating a team of project managers, hardware, software and installation engineers (up to 70+)
• Responsibility for all Environmental, Health & Safety aspects of the projects through the Company H&S Manager and project H&S Advisor
• Hold regular report and progress meetings with clients
• Assist in securing future business by cultivating customer expectations through excellent delivery
• Responsibility for Quality Control for all projects involved

Essential Requirements:

• At least 10 years' demonstrable full project management experience within a systems delivery company with a track record of success
• Demonstrable experience within the Water Industry or similar
• Must have good customer facing skills
• Must have demonstrable track record of achieving project timescales, margins, customer satisfaction and quality
• Experience of subcontractor management
• Strong leadership skills, including team management experience
• Current driving license
• Must be prepared to travel, with some stays away at customer sites

Desirable Requirements:

• Ideally 2 years' demonstrable programme management experience in a systems delivery company
• A recognized project management qualification (for example, PRINCE 2, APMP) and/or approved training
