Summary of Role:
Working within an existing major project in the Nuclear Industry and reporting to a Project Manager, Capula is seeking additional SCADA Engineer experienced in the Citect SCADA package. Responsible for the on-going design and implementation of a major scheme for a new facility being built in the North West, the successful candidates will be qualified as described below and ideally will have recent relevant experience. Although the project is based at our headquarters in Stone, Staffordshire an amount of travel to customer sites and working away from home is expected, currently predominantly in the Cheshire area.
Role Description:
- Provide design input to development of system wide master generics
- SCADA programming of control systems from given designs
- Involvement throughout whole software/systems lifecycle, from design through coding to testing, installation and configuration, and documentation (working throughout to full QA procedures)
- Working within project team to customer deadlines
- Installation and configuration/testing work at customer sites
Essential Requirements:
- Computer related or appropriate engineering qualification (degree/HND) or comparable industrial experience
- Minimum 3 years experience expectation to fulfil requirements of this post.
- Good client facing skills, must be able to work as part of combined client/contractor team
- Knowledge of SCADA system design
- Experience of coding mainstream SCADA package, Citect preferred.
- Willingness to travel and work at customer sites when required
- Must be able to attain UK Security Clearance
- Driving licence
Desirable Skills:
- VB, VBA, C++
- Supervision / Mentoring skills (advantageous but not essential)
- Windows 7 / Windows Server 2003/2008 administration
- Network architecture design
- Experience of working in the Nuclear Industry
- PLC packages (especially Schneider) advantageous but not essential
