Capula secure Huntsman Tioxide contract

Capula, software integrators based in Gloucester, have been working with Huntsman Tioxide continuously for the last five years to roll out, support and exploit to their plants worldwide FIS (Factory Information System) based on the PI system.
PI is a product from OSIsoft and is the market leader for the collection and storage of time series data produced by systems controlling or supervising plant assets in the Utilities industry.
Huntsman Tioxide's FIS system interfaces with different DCS systems to provide real-time access to process and product data at each site, with the facility to allow plants access to each other's production data.
Project Maple is the work starting in 2003 to migrate FIS from the old PI2 Alpha based systems to PI3 Systems running on Windows, allowing the customer to take advantage of new technologies and products available with PI3.
