Capula helps local school achieve 'Specialist Technology' status
02 Aug 2004
Alleyne's High School, a specialist technology school, based in Stone, Staffordshire is delighted with the very generous donation from Capula of a new Dell computer for its students of their school.
Capula, the IT solutions and services company, whose head office is also based in Stone were approached by Alleyne's High School to make a donation towards their £50,000 target required to achieve "Specialist Technology" status. Capula saw this as an opportunity to offer some real value to the school and to re-enforce their commitment to education and the local community. Rather than giving a sum of money it was decided to provide a new computer and to combat any unexpected problems, a 3-year extended warranty has been included. Owing to the computer's technical capability and speed, the new PC is being used in the school's music department enabling students to electronically compose and record their own music.
Ann Spears, Headteacher, Alleyne's High School comments:
"We cannot thank Capula enough for their very generous donation. The students are very pleased to have this extra resource - they are desperate for more computers and so your help is extremely valued"
Roger Turner, Managing Director of Capula comments:
"We are a people focussed business who are dedicated to the quality of education offered within the locality. We hope that our help and that offered by other local businesses will ensure that Alleyne's High School maintain their excellent all round education standards."
As a result of receiving sponsorship, donations and the large government grant received on achieving the "specialist technology school" status, Alleyne's High School is in process of refurbishing and upgrading their technology ready for the September intake.
