Capula wins RTU framework agreement with Thames Water

We are proud to announce that Capula has been awarded a framework agreement by Thames Water to replace their existing Remote Telemetry Unit assets across a large proportion of their process sites. Serving more than 13 million customers across London and the Thames Valley region, Thames Water is the largest Water & Sewage company in the UK. The RTU framework agreement is five years in length (2010 - 2015) and covers the company's AMP5 programme.

Utilising best-in-breed technology from both MultiTrode & Rockwell Automation, the Capula solution will provide monitoring control of Thames Water's Sewage Pumping stations, Small Sewage Treatment works, Large Water Treatment works and their Water Booster sites, allowing important business-critical data to be captured in real-time.
This will provide numerous benefits including lower cost of ownership, energy efficiencies and informed decision making of site operations amongst others. In addition, the upgrade will see a move away from the current bespoke protocol to a new standardised WITS DNP3 implementation for all the telemetry assets.
