Pretty in Pink - Capula gets behind Breast Cancer Campaign
29 Oct 2010
Breast Cancer Campaign uses all wear it pink donations to fund innovative, world-class research throughout the UK and Ireland to understand how breast cancer develops, leading to improved diagnosis, treatment, prevention and cure.
The charity currently supports around 106 projects worth £16.3 million in 38 centres across the UK and Ireland.
Capula staff have enjoyed supporting Breast Cancer Campaign's Wear It Pink day for several years, and this year have again raised money by coming into work wearing various pink items of clothing to help increase awareness for the campaign. In addition, staff participated in a raffle to win a brand new iPod Touch, which had been generously donated by Rockwell Automation. In the end, more than £200 was raised for the charity.
Capula take pride in supporting the Breast Cancer Campaign and other charitable events over the course of the year, and Chief Executive Roger Turner said "We've supported Breast Cancer Campaign through the Wear It Pink day for a number of years now, and our staff always enjoy the opportunity to get involved in the various fundraising activities Capula engages in."
