Capula expanding with new Nuclear Division
16 Sep 2011
Capula is happy to announce the expansion of the company to include a dedicated Nuclear Services Business, to be called Capula Nuclear.
Representing a direct response to the significant growth in expenditure levels in this market that is expected to be driven by Nuclear New Build over the next decade, the expansion will include the opening of a brand new, secure building next to our headquarters in Stone, Staffordshire, to complement our existing Centre of Excellence in Whitehaven, Cumbria.
The move will see Capula build on more than 20 years’ experience in the Nuclear space where we have nurtured and continue to enjoy strong relationships with key clients including Sellafield, Urenco, British Energy and AWE. In addition, a significant number of jobs will be created to reinforce the quality of our project delivery in this niche area of engineering for which Capula has a fine reputation.
To oversee Capula’s operations in this market, Alex Moore (left) has been appointed Nuclear Services Director, having been instrumental in bringing a number of major nuclear contracts to Capula through the key relationships with clients in his combined role as Business Sector Head & Delivery Manager.
“This is an exciting time for the UK Nuclear market,” said Chief Executive Roger Turner (right), “And Capula is excellently positioned to deliver the solutions required to help facilitate the drive in Nuclear New Build while continuing to support our portfolio of operations in Decommissioning, Waste Management, Defence and Fuel.”
