Capula team wins water race
14 Mar 2011
A team of runners from Capula are celebrating after claiming the Team Prize at a charity run organised by Thames Water in support of WaterAid last weekend. Our team of Neil Taylor, Guy Le Geyt and Dale Reeves competed in the 5km run, completing the course ahead of a field totalling roughly 60 participants.
As a key system integrator for Thames Water delivering projects ranging from SCADA automation, telemetry outstation technologies through to real-time IT, Capula was happy to not only participate in, but help sponsor the event.
"We were delighted to have been invited by Thames Water to run in this event and to help raise funds for WaterAid" said Neil, "The organisation of the event by Thames Water was first class, the course delightful, and our rather unexpected win was a brilliant bonus!"
WaterAid is the only international non-governmental organisation dedicated exclusively to the provision of safe domestic water, sanitation and hygiene education to the world's poorest people. The fun run raised more than £5,000 for the charity in total.
