Getting involved for Comic Relief
18 Mar 2011
There was laughter aplenty in the Capula offices today as staff participated in a number of activities to help raise funds for Comic Relief's Red Nose Day.
One of the nation's most popular charities, Comic Relief aims to transform the lives of poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged people across the UK and Africa, from restoring the sight of children in Africa to giving isolated older people in the UK the support they need to enjoy their lives.
Capula staff have enjoyed supporting Red Nose Day for several years, and this year have again raised money by having a dress down day where people wore red items of clothing to help increase awareness for the campaign. In addition, staff participated in a raffle to raise further funds, raising roughly £200 in total.
Chief Executive Roger Turner said "We've supported Comic Relief through Red Nose Day & Sports Relief for many years and our staff always enjoy the opportunity to get involved in the various fundraising activities Capula engages in. We see it as an ideal opportunity to have fun at work while raising money for a worthwhile cause."
