Half year results show continued increase in order book
04 Aug 2011
Following the recording breaking success of last year, with over £40 million new contracts won, Capula is on track for another excellent year in 2011.
Half year results show a healthy spread of performance across each of the company’s markets. In the water industry, Capula’s operations continue to grow in strength in line with continued investment from our clients during the AMP5 period, while successful positioning on key frameworks has seen a number of important contracts being won across the nuclear sector. In addition to our specialisation in automation and real-time IT, our cubicle production work has further supported increased business in Capula’s Transmission & Distribution sector. Our generation market has benefited from notable contracts awarded across coal-fired, biomass and renewables projects.
This year’s new orders have further increased Capula’s total order book by 8% year to-date, helping the company to go from strength to strength, with more than 60 staff recruited to support delivery.
“The energy and utilities industries at large are embracing the use of increased automation, combined with real-time reporting, to drive efficiency, profitability and environmental compliance,” said Capula’s Chief Executive Roger Turner, “We’ve been careful to position Capula in order to capitalise on this trend, and it’s pleasing to see we’re on track for another successful year.”
