This course is designed to exploit the advanced capabilities of the PI Server. Many of the non-core subsystems of the PI server are addressed including the PI-Module database, the PI-Alarm System and the PI-Totalizer subsystem.

On completion delegates will be able to:

• Understand the capabilities and effectiveness of the PI-Module database
• Configure and manage PI points in the PI-Alarm subsystem
• Use PI-AlarmView to monitor PI Alarm tags
• Configure and manage PI points in the PI-Totalizer subsystem
• Employ advanced post archive processing techniques
• Use the PI-Recalculation module
• Recover a non-starting PI System (with a corrupt primary archive)
• Use advanced PI-Config techniques including adding data and tuning

This is a hands-on course with practical workshop exercises.

Course duration is 3 days and costs £995 per person.

Who should attend?

Anyone who wishes to understand or use the advanced features of the PI Data archive.

Prerequisites

Delegates should have prior experience of the basic administration of PI servers. It is assumed that delegates will have sound knowledge of the main PI products including PI-ProcessBook and PI-DataLink.
