This course is designed to introduce Microsoft Excel users to the potential for improved efficiency and effectiveness by programming with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).

On completion delegates will be able to:

• Use Excel to develop applications that aggregate, analyse and present data in a user-friendly fashion
• Use elementary aspects of VBA to control the wide variety of Objects available
• Design and write code to make applications easy to maintain
• Write functions to be used in worksheet formulas (including some PI functions)
• Work with worksheet ranges
• Design user forms
• Access PI data using the PI API

This is a hands-on course with practical workshop exercises.

Course duration is 2 days and costs £795 per person.

Who should attend?

Delegates should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. An understanding of concepts such as looping, conditional statements and variables is desirable.

Prerequisites

Delegates must be familiar with Visual Basic before undertaking this course.
