Comic Relief fun at Capula

Capula staff have raised in excess of £600 for charity through a number of fun activities this month. Employees company-wide have participated in several events including quizzes, dress-down days and individual challenges, in a bid to raise money for Comic Relief.

Capula's offices were the scenes of much amusement as staff members arrived for work in a variety of outfits as part of their sports-themed dress-down day. From footballers to racing car drivers, scuba divers to snooker players, a diverse selection of sports were represented by participating employees.

"It was hilarious to see some of the guys in swimming caps and flippers," said HR Administrator Debbie Poultney, "and it's nice to do something for such a worthy charity - it all makes a difference!"

Stone-based Hardware Engineer Richard Berwick was celebrating after raising a fine individual total of £386 for dyeing his hair and beard following some friendly banter with colleagues. "I decided to act on it, getting them to put their money where their mouths were," he recalls, "It was all in the name of good fun, and we've been able to raise a great amount for a really good cause."

Meanwhile, Fraser Kennedy, a Graduate Software Engineer at the company's Cumbria office, won a 'Name the 80s Toy' quiz, which further contributed to the fundraising total.

Capula take pride in supporting Comic Relief and the local community, and Chief Executive Roger Turner said, "Getting involved with Red Nose Day is not only something we've done for many years, but something we all very much look forward to, such is the fun we have in supporting an excellent cause."
