Delivery
Capula uses project development lifecycle methodology to ensure there's a consistent and comprehensive approach to project management. It is a phased approach to system development which is proven to minimise the inherent risks by improving project control and management visibility to completion.
The lifecycle model predominantly used by Capula is based on the industry standard ‘V’ model, which provides a means to achieve management control over the system development process.
This top down approach is applicable to both system hardware and software developments and provides a systematic approach to first define the design, and then to build and verify this design with respect to these requirements. We use a variant of this for our safety-related projects that also can include independent validation and verification activities. Alternatively, for many of our real-time IT and business intelligence projects we use an agile, iterative process based on time-boxed prototyping and user feedback sessions.
Underpinning these delivery approaches, our project and programme management activities are typically based on Prince II or variations of this to meet specific needs of our clients. In addition, our delivery teams have access to internal best-practices and can raise queries to seek help and advice from other colleagues through our internal knowledge-systems based on Wiki-type mechanisms.
