Capula signs contract with Southern Water

Capula has successfully completed a detailed functional specification for two pioneering systems, CMS and IODICA and now Southern Water has awarded Capula a contract to design build and implement the system.

CMS, the Configuration Management System, will enforce consistent and detailed configuration on a number of Southern Water systems - their telemetry system and two archives (one of detailed telemetry data and the other of values derived from a combination of the telemetry data, operational parameters and laboratory data).

Capula originally supplied the two archives, based on the PI product from OSIsoft inc.

IODICA, the Instruments and Outstations Database for Instrumentation Control and Automation, will include a comprehensive listing of all outstations and instrumentation.

The system will share data with CMS and facilitate end-to-end testing of Southern Water's data collection systems - from the sensor to the derived value archive
