The appointment of Dave Pickles supports Capula’s acceleration strategy and consolidates its strong market position in the systems integration arena
The announcement in January that Dave Pickles succeeds Mark Hardy as Managing Director of Capula, an Imtech company, was made to ensure an orderly transition of leadership. Dave Pickles will build on Mark Hardy’s successful track record after Capula exceeded all of its key objectives and entered 2019 with a record order book and profitability levels.
“I’m excited to take up the reins as I progress the initiatives and strategy announced under Mark Hardy’s dynamic leadership and I look forward to keeping the momentum going as the company continues growing”, commented Dave. “I’m joining the business at a pivotal time because the rapid market adoption of digital is impacting every industry as organisations look to increase their overall efficiency. Capula is best placed to make digital real and release value for customers through its digital portfolio of solutions, which help leverage business information to enhance performance.”
Dave has extensive leadership experience and a deep understanding of the automation market spanning over three decades. He joins Capula from Bilfinger UK where as Managing Director he led the business strategy to achieve its business expansion and growth ambitions. Prior to that he progressively held senior management positions at Siemens, culminating in the roles of General Manager of Motion and Control in the Automation Drives Division, then Managing Director of Siemens Building Technologies UK and Ireland.
“Capula is in good hands. Dave is an outstanding director and has the leadership skills to drive Capula’s growth. He has experience and expertise in driving major businesses and I welcome him to the organisation as Capula grows its operations, expands its innovative technologies and strengthens its leadership in industrial digitalisation,” commented Paul Kavanagh, CEO Imtech UK and Ireland.
