Summary of Role:

A Service Delivery Manager is required to manage a large multi-site contract for a key client, additional works and contracts will be added in the future.  The role includes the management of engineers, SLA’s and contract deliverables. The Service Delivery Manager will ideally have some experience gained in delivering contracts, based on Control System Automation to the Power Transmission industry or similar. This role will include travel to customer sites.

 

Role Description:

  • Management role responsible for a large contract, from inception through to delivery within demanding timescales. Ensuring that it is delivered to specification, budget and customer satisfaction
  • Overall financial responsibility for the contracts, including subcontracts for specialist works and supplies
  • People-management responsibility for leading and motivating a team of engineers
  • Responsibility for all Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety aspects of the projects through the Company Q,H&S Manager and project H&S Advisor
  • Hold regular report and progress meetings with clients
  • Assist in securing future business by cultivating customer expectations through excellent delivery
  • To chair weekly team meetings covering the communication of management information, health & safety issues, planned service and support work, support call issues, and resource availability/utilisation.
  • To successfully manage contract variations, ensuring that changes are accurately identified and agreed and that correct governance procedures are followed in the preparation of quotations
  • To successfully manage risk, identifying issues and taking preventative and/or corrective action when required and escalating problems to the Operations Manager when necessary
  • To monitor and control project finances and complete monthly company finance reports
  • To support the Sales Lead (and other Business Development teams) where necessary
  • To produce technical and commercial proposals for new business (and/or to allocate appropriate resources to support this)
  • To attend internal/external meetings to define and agree requirements and costs

 

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree qualified, ideally from an electrical engineering background
  • At least 2 years demonstrable contract management experience within the nuclear industry or similar regulated background
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Must be commercially astute & be able to identify early commercial and technical risks/issues and find resolutions.
  • Must have demonstrable track record of achieving project timescales, margins, customer satisfaction and quality
  • Strong leadership skills, including team management experience
  • Current driving license and must be prepared to travel, with some stays away at customer sites
  • Must be able to gain SC clearance as a minimum
